WILL THE DREDGE CLEAR THE VEGETATION OFF MY LAGOON?Ī: The dredge will struggle with many reedy and fibrous forms of vegetation. A booster pump can be used with this system. Velocity in the pipeline is critical to keeping heavy materials in suspension. The specific gravity of your sediment can affect the distance you will be able to pump. This means it can deliver 1100 gallons per minute 50 feet straight up in the air or (based on frictional losses in the pipeline) it can deliver 1100 GPM over 800 feet horizontally. WHAT IS THE DISTANCE I CAN PUMP WITH THE DREDGE?Ī: The dredge is rated at 1100 gallons per minute at 50 feet of total dynamic head. The 6″ submersible pump installed on this machine is manufactured in-house and is able to pass softball-sized debris without damage or clogging.Ī: The dredge can excavate at a thirteen-foot depth in standard configuration, a three-foot boom extension allows for an additional two foot of cutting capability. It excavates sediment with a durable, high-torque, direct-drive cutter head and pumps at rates up to 1500 gpm through the highly abrasion-resistant, hydraulic submersible dredge pump. The system is simple and easy to operate. It relies on 2 stainless steel pontoons that are compartmentalized into 3 independent sections and offer a 2 to 1 displacement factor for flotation. The dredge is similar to a small pontoon boat. There is no damage to the shoreline or tracks to be repaired. The launching and loading are more like a boat than a conventional dredge or excavator. Mobilization costs are a fraction of a typical six-inch dredge. With a wet weight of around 4,000 pounds, it is a very lightweight portable dredge, with a low cost of mobilization, and a small environmental footprint. The dredge measures just over 22′ long and 6′ wide and is less than 6′ tall. Our sediment removal system is comprised of a small dredge manufactured domestically. Each dino dredge rental equipment may vary slightly from the overview. Below is a general overview of the sediment removal systems we use for dino dredge rentals.
